Ethical Community - Higher Wisdom

denely, that christrian cmty of 50 people, was that in australia? disciples of yashua cmty? well, r they even vegan or vegetarian? i think not. so ther eya go. jesus said jhis bros and sisters are those who do god's will. god is love, = vegan gentle non-violent lifestyle req'd.

hippie free love doesn't have to mean rampant sexual abandon. but u r mormon, wasn't polygamy sanctioned by the mormons by the way?

alot of the truest devotees of god shun hypocrisy church/religion; they directly go for God instead. if you can distill the essences of the moral ethical tenets of the ten commandments into universal ethical principles, it would help keep cmty open to good people who'd otherwise be turned off by religious dogma verbiage.

for example, no violence/threats; no lie-cheat-steal thievery. both those include no raping other people's wives, etc, or whatever u r worried about.

also, cmty doesn't mesan everyone has to be living on top of one another like sardines. it can be similar to a normal suburban neighborhood, each family has their own abode, but the entire land folks share common values.

how many mormons are raw vegan or even vegan? how many vegans or raw vegans are mormon? if you insist on everyone being identical to you, you'll eithe rbe alone on the cmty land, or the only other guys there will be indiscernable from you and then your wife will have free love with them because she'll think they are her husband denley, she won't be able to tlel the difference! please have a sense of humor for that! i am just illustratiing a point.

as long as the cmty people are gentle vegans with an awakended cosncience who care about how their actions affect others, then the cmty would set a fine example for planet earth.

and you can still hold optional mormon and raw vegan meetins etc on the open stage of the cmty at certain times and days. if sunday is your holy day, choose your houirs. and the vegan seventh day adventists chirstians prefer saturday=sabbath. other religions could make their offerings of services on the weekdays.

have you encountered books/audios "conversations with God" by neale donald walsch ?

fun to listen to the audio books on tapes or cd. most libraries have them for loan free.

another proof jesus=yashua was vegan and req'd that of true disciples is www.essene.org and books by edmond bordeaux szekely.

i'd like to participate in your cmty. i'd be bummed if i were rejected based on people judging me not christian when i am actually probably closer to true christ-likeness than anybody else alive on planet earth today. i wouldn't want a girlfreind of mine to feel repulsed by limited dogma either.

as i'd suggested before, please write a detailed, or brief, essay, explaining what the ten commandments in human action look like to you. what behavioural modes are implied?

we can all agree on community ethical rules regardless of american freedom of religion choice. that freedom of rleigion is one of the things that made american great. we wanna go fwd not backwards. the genberal ethical purity principles of the cmty cna be posted and fliers of it handed to all visitors. and denely may make a board of his own artistic expression in which he says this is how denley feels and shares it with the group. maybe you feel the wording of the ten commandments best enhances the understanbding of ethics, from your p.o.v. and you can share that artistic expression displayed for the cmty to see. so can everyoine esle express their views on their own art board of what sources of wisdom they feel enhance the common ethical code of honor's understanding.

pagans and hippies are not demons. jesus was a pagan hippie wasn't he? he lived in nature like a pagan and he claled everyone sister and brother like a hippie. not all pagans or hippies cna be sterotyped in to a presumptious category anymore than all christians can be. how many proffessed chirstians are in jails and prisons for murder and other violent crimes? should everyone then presume that all christians are like that.

a lack of eclectic open-minded study results in ignorant presumptions. if knowledge exists and we ignore it, that is claled ignorance. the right understanding exists, but we are too lazy to pursue an honest study to find out what others beleive, what legends of other saints and servants of God they value.

the common modern bible has already been warped and twisted and altered and changed many times, and it was never a complete report of the biography of jesus-yashua to begin with. jesus-yashua from age 12-29 or age 30 is missing from the bible. other sources do have some of that information.

we need direct conscious soul link to holy spirit within: that is what yashua=jesus gave when he was alive.

then the one Law of Love is inscribed upon our hearts. then we don't really need any outer laws.

whoa to ye the lawyers! for ye did not enter into yourselves and also prevented those truth-seekers who wanted to enter into themselves. now that i am an esoteric mystic, these and other bible quotes become highlighted and clear for me to understand.

there are plenty of smoking meat-eater alcoholics=drug-addicts that claim to go by the ten commandments and the bible and beleif in jesus and say they are a member of christrian religion.

i'd rather live in cmty with yashua real bro/sisters = those who actually do God's will = Love = non-violence = gentle pure vegan lifestyle !

You may have something there. I must think and ponder. I think it may be the hippie free love that may be a part of my reasoning. Living the 10 commandments would keep us all on track so we wouldn’t turn pagan and be destroyed. Blessings come to those who live the law, whether individually, or community, or country. By having a collective group living certain laws there will be a strength and protection that can not be denied because it is promised. Thus wise glue.

christ was not a closed minded bogoted dogmatist for christ sake. he gave god connection holy spirit link at soul level beyond mind, to all humans humble enough to receive it: jews, gentiles, roman solidiers, greeks, samaritans, ethiopians, egyptians, indians, tibetans, nepalese, zoroasterians, etc and so on.

God is Love. if we practice a harmless lifestyle, including being vegan sans domestic-animals, eschewing drugs/alcohol/smoking --- then that is pragamtic Love as a lifestyle.

stupid ignorant glue is not the only glue in existence, smart wise glue also exists.

Hi Star: I get a little confused about the right scenario with an eco village. I visited with some people who are living in a community with all things in common and it was challenging but it has been working for them for over 50 years. They are a religious group with the main focus on Christ. They told me that the glue to the whole community was their religious beliefs and that they were committed to each other. They shared their income and their expenses and their lives were all for one and one for all.

Star, I think this is what makes more sense to me than anything. I would be interested in living this way long term and not have people come and go and not stay committed for the long haul. I am also caught up in the Babylonian lifestyle and have a lot on my plate right now so I would have to come and go until I could get things wrapped up then live there long term.

Hope all is good for you, give me your thoughts,

Denley

hi bro Denley, i am glad aussies and mangos were nice and good.

how about our vegan land claifornia coast southern claifornia usa? or baja? i emphasize vegan more than raw because some folks who emphasize raw end up eating raw animal flesh beleive it or not!

i think our ecovillage ought to be strictly bvegan at least no meat fish fowl eggs with possible exception of nursing babies or other small growing children if their parents really feel they need some of the neighbors organic goat milk; or if folks need pro-biotics and cannot easily acccess vegan sources; possible rare special exceptions but strictly vegetarian, basically strict vegan: no meat fish fowl eggs nor thjose any doemsrtoic-animals. a vegan human mother ought to be able to produce good breast-milk.

when do you go buy land claiforeia usa southern california coast or california sur baja mexico?

i am eager and always ready to network it!

thanks for maintaining communications!

hi friend(s)/correspondent(s) of pure vegan star * ~

this Dr Bernarr fellow who always sends interesting holiday history lessons (see below) is , i think, a natural hygienic raw organic vegan, and educated people in health and wellness as well as, evidently, various holiday history lessons. which i appreciate, as a foundation of understanding and meaning to yet still launch our own fresh original and perhaps inspirational takes on the basic themes.

for example, perhaps someday onto my website i'll get more of my poetry, including a valentines poem i already composed years ago, because Great Spirit once suggested i spiritualize every human custom to make it ever more meaningful. so, that poem includes going beyond just one day of Love theme, into weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millenium, eons, eternity forever, always Love is the essence of all matters spiritual and/or ethical/moral, Love is the simple axiom guiding all right actions, Love is the simple Law which does suffice for sacred code of honorable conduct {if properly and keenly perceived completely, for example saint star's details on ethical behaviour guided by genuine care (Love)} includes harmlessness as a virtue, the divine attribute of being careful = "full of care=Love", to not hurt anybody via the free expression of one's own individual will. everyone should be free to soleep on beaches and camp in forests etc, as long as the liberty to do as they please with thier own life does not cause harmful repurcussions onto others.

kind of like the golden rule: be kind, do good, and avoid hurting others; as you would wish others to be kind, do good and avoid hurting you.

This for example, the one simple Law of Love, if applied correctly, would result in all humans being pure vegan sans domestic-animals, eschewing all drugs/alcohol/smoking {in order to avoid the adverse repurcussions of toxic disease which cause suffering and pain to others}.

Non-toxic health-oriented purity is required to be truly non-violent, and being truly non-violent is required to be truly Loving. ~ thus spake Saint Star* the innocent ! ;-D

The History of St. Valentine's Day

Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day -- and its patron saint -- is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance. St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. So, who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.

One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.

While some believe that Valentine's Day is celebrated in the middle of February to commemorate the anniversary of Valentine's death or burial -- which probably occurred around 270 A.D -- others claim that the Christian church may have decided to celebrate Valentine's feast day in the middle of February in an effort to 'christianize' celebrations of the pagan Lupercalia festival. In ancient Rome, February was the official beginning of spring and was considered a time for purification. Houses were ritually cleansed by sweeping them out and then sprinkling salt and a type of wheat called spelt throughout their interiors. Lupercalia, which began at the ides of February, February 15, was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.

To begin the festival, members of the Luperci, an order of Roman priests, would gather at the sacred cave where the infants Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome, were believed to have been cared for by a she-wolf or lupa. The priests would then sacrifice a goat, for fertility, and a dog, for purification.

The boys then sliced the goat's hide into strips, dipped them in the sacrificial blood and took to the streets, gently slapping both women and fields of crops with the goathide strips. Far from being fearful, Roman women welcomed being touched with the hides because it was believed the strips would make them more fertile in the coming year. Later in the day, according to legend, all the young women in the city would place their names in a big urn. The city's bachelors would then each choose a name out of the urn and become paired for the year with his chosen woman. These matches often ended in marriage. Pope Gelasius declared February 14 St. Valentine's Day around 498 A.D. The Roman 'lottery' system for romantic pairing was deemed un-Christian and outlawed. Later, during the Middle Ages, it was commonly believed in France and England that February 14 was the beginning of birds' mating season, which added to the idea that the middle of February -- Valentine's Day -- should be a day for romance. The oldest known valentine still in existence today was a poem written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt. The greeting, which was written in 1415, is part of the manuscript collection of the British Library in London, England. Several years later, it is believed that King Henry V hired a writer named John Lydgate to compose a valentine note to Catherine of Valois.

In Great Britain, Valentine's Day began to be popularly celebrated around the seventeenth century. By the middle of the eighteenth century, it was common for friends and lovers in all social classes to exchange small tokens of affection or handwritten notes. By the end of the century, printed cards began to replace written letters due to improvements in printing technology. Ready-made cards were an easy way for people to express their emotions in a time when direct expression of one's feelings was discouraged. Cheaper postage rates also contributed to an increase in the popularity of sending Valentine's Day greetings. Americans probably began exchanging hand-made valentines in the early 1700s. In the 1840s, Esther A. Howland began to sell the first mass-produced valentines in America.

According to the Greeting Card Association, an estimated one billion valentine cards are sent each year, making Valentine's Day the second largest card-sending holiday of the year. (An estimated 2.6 billion cards are sent for Christmas.)

Approximately 85 percent of all valentines are purchased by women. In addition to the United States, Valentine's Day is celebrated in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, and Australia.

Valentine greetings were popular as far back as the Middle Ages (written Valentine's didn't begin to appear until after 1400), and the oldest known Valentine card is on display at the British Museum. The first commercial Valentine's Day greeting cards produced in the U.S. were created in the 1840s by Esther A. Howland. Howland, known as the Mother of the Valentine, made elaborate creations with real lace, ribbons and colorful pictures known as "scrap".
