After autumn 2005 I plan to purchase the ecovillage land north of Hilo on big Island Hawaii, where over a hundred acres can be acquired for around just a thousand dollars per acre. [example: 200 acres, possibly with structures and/or house included, for around $200,000].
I sincerely appreciate your kindly generous support in this crucially important endeavor which succeeding will certainly benefit all life on Earth both directly and via rippling effects spreading higher consciousness everywhere!
A simple lifestyle can be lived there on Hawaii in warm climate year-'round, requiring no fancy expensive shelter systems such as modern housing. The simple shelter designs only need to be made with the following factors in mind:
1.----> rain-proof roof with sufficient overhang on all sides to prevent rain from coming into shelter from sides.
2.---> the shelter(s) floor must be elevated a few feet above ground level. Thoughtful consideration for extremely high levels of annual rainfall must be taken into account in all aspects where such pertinent factual info may be relevant.
3.---> screen windows/walls for maximum ventilation combined with complete insect-proof mesh, at least in regards to mosquitos {as best as possible}.
Some examples of adequate workable shelters that are not too expensive nor too complicated to erect:
1.---> simply store-bought tents [or mail-ordered, whatever] with plenty mosquito-proof screens/mesh-windows, on a raised platform, and with a long and wide tarp stretched far over the top to form a better more pragmatic rain-repellant roof and overhang, as is prudent.
2.---> yurts, teepees, domes, etc... ; alternative simple shelter designs; similarly up on platform off the ground level by several feet, and with consideration for: rain from above and wind-driven from side-angles; mosquitos/insects; adequate cross-ventilation for fresh-air breezes to to maximize both natural-health & comfort for humanoid creatures in warm moist sub-/tropical climate.
3.---> humble shacks, cottages, call what may: simple little houses around 8'x12' which may be made framing a skeleton of a small abode from wood or other materials, perhaps bamboo, etc; and then tarps or whatever for rain-proof roof [white or light tarps allow natural light during day to illumine the dry indoor quarters (yet shade considerations to elongate the durability of tarps with deference for ultra-violet light damage in direct sunlight for extended periods)]. Then, the walls can be mostly screen/mesh, which can be gotten in bulk or wholesale in huge rolls. Of course, as with all shelters in rainy locations, the domicile must be supported well above ground level to avoid flooding in heavy downpours or extended days on end of precipitation.
I suppose the above-ground designs could also decrease animal-creature access to human habitation zones. So, logically, folks interested to help in structure designs and practical shelter-building activities will be needed/wanted/loved/appreciated.
Similarly, ecovillage will need gardeners, etc....; resourceful folk of many kinds with pioneering spirit-- certainbly when the Hawaii land is attained, but also right now and ongoing for all good reasons i can think of plus any reasons all you other brilliant thinkers can come up with: feel free to offer any/all creative assistance in any/many ways you can imagine. For example, even now, i need help with: website making, typing, fundraiser events [all aspects from planning and implementing and funding, to location offers [maybe your space for free?!, etc...; connections you have, etc...; and also creative artists, performers of all kinds, etc...; anyone experienced and/or inspired....]

Another method is to print my website main-page, and post it around at local places you know best where kindred-spirits may possibly come across it; also to print hundreds or even thousands to distribute at various events and gatherings of hundreds/thousands of people of above average consciousness, like maybe: concert campout weekends, concerts in general, whole earth festivals, health and harmony faires, any higher consciousness gatherings of various kinds, anywhere masses conregate, and even just around your local vicinity and also while you travel, in case you bump into anyone you may feel called to share this news of this important project with, who will likely respond positively, according to your intuitive sensibilities and/or via brief preliminary conversation to get a feel for the persons awareness.
